I swung by the good ol' MPSC today, and Mickey told me about your blog. I'm madly jealous to see that you've been on the trail since February, I must admit -- although Eric and I are headed out to Cataloochee tomorrow for a 3-night loop, so I'll get a little taste of the mountains at least. Hope the trail's treating you well!

Hi Girlscouts. We\'re in Palmerton, at the Jailhouse Hostel. Great friendly town with everything you need within a couple blocks. Even scored a hitch desite the rain! I can only imagine that you all are having the same rain rain rain that we are having. We tried to find you when we stayed in Pine Grove Furnance State Park at the cabin across from the hostel and grocery store, but I think you all passed thru one day later. Be safe and we\'ll see you soon. Hope all is well with you both. Keep on trucking.

Hi Josh and Amanda,\r\nWondering what your progress is. I haven\'t seen a journal update for awhile. Don\'t forget we are available here in PA anywhere between Boiling Springs and beyond if you need a resupply run, an afternoon off the trail, or some Carrabba\'s take out.

Hi, Amanda and Josh...This is the first chance I've had
to write since I mailed you the cookies! I'm so glad
you received them. Have enjoyed reading your journal
entries so much. You two just amaze me! Get enough rest
along the way, if you can. Thinking of you all the time, and I always say a prayer for your health and
safety. Lots of love, Bea Oettinger

Hi,
I met you guys briefly in Harper's Ferry as my wife and I took some time to explore the "old town" and do some hiking. I've been dreaming of an AT thruhike for almost 20 years now and when I see folks "in action", I get excited! When you get to Rt 501 shelter in PA, send me an email. I'll try to accomodate a pizza from the local pizza shop at Pine Grove. Happy hiking!!

We met you on the trail near Gathland State Park, MD, this weekend. Thanks for being so great telling our troop of 4th grade Girl Scouts all about your trip and answering a million questions! You showed up at the perfect time -- just when the girls were saying, "WE'RE TIRED!! What's the big deal with the A.T. anyway!!" All the best on your big adventure!!
